Destin Fishing Rodeo
October 1 – 31This 66-year old signature-fishing tournament anticipated event highlights the diversity of fishing found here in the “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village.” Daily competition and weigh-ins keep the action going all month long! Locals and visitors alike look forward to casting their line as a part of this month-long tournament.
Fish the Days and Rock the Nights
October 14 – 28 10:00AM – 9:00PMHarborWalk VillageEven land lovers can join the fun as they watch the Destin fishing fleets bring in the days catch for the Destin Fishing Rodeo. After you fulfill your fishing fix, head to the Event Stage at HarborWalk Village for some live music at 7 pm and fireworks show to end the night with a bang!
Wicked Triple Fun Run
October 21 & 22 8:00 AMDare to run triple of the wicked fun? The Wicked Triple Fun 10K/5K/Half Marathon is a premier event to raise funds to build a new track for Okaloosa County. The 10K which starts at 7:30 am is the first leg of the three-part series, which is followed by a sunset 5K at 5:30 pm, and a half marathon at 7:30 am the next morning. Immediately after the 10K, there will be an awards ceremony at Magnolia Grill on Brooks Street. There will be 5K awards and after-party at AJ’s on the Bayou. There will be a throwdown on Sunday morning at The Landing after the half marathon.
Tricks and Treasures
October 31, 5-8 pmThe BoardwalkThe 2nd annual Tricks and Treasures at the Boardwalk will be on Tuesday, October 31 from 5 pm to 8 pm. This family-friendly Halloween celebration will feature trick-or-treating, live entertainment, and plenty of beach-front family fun.
