wild times in Fort Walton Beach

Planning a trip to the sunny Florida panhandle? We’ve got you covered! Not only do we have white, luxurious, sandy beaches but we have so much more to offer. From the Gulfarium, Wild Willy’s, to the HarborWalk Village, we have a lot of options for anyone and everyone! Make this trip more memorable by taking a walk on the wild side of Fort Walton Beach.

Explore all types of marine life, dinosaur adventures, Gulf coast cuisine with a view like none other, or simply shop at our favorite surf shops. No matter your interests, we have something just for you!

The Gulfarium

Located by The Boardwalk on Highway 98 just on the way to Destin, the Gulfarium is only a mile away and a three-minute drive from The Breakers! You will have a smile painted on your face with the crowd pleasing Dolphin, Sea Lion, and Penguin shows daily! Those don’t spark your interest? There’s so much more. Reserve your spot today to spend some time behind the scenes with their alligators, stingrays, sea turtles, dolphins and so much more. Ever pet a stingray? Ever led a dolphin show? Take the opportunity to do so while visiting sunny Florida. Check out their website to find out what times you can visit this wonderful park (hours vary due to season changes).

Wild Willy’s Adventure Zone

Ever tried to play putt putt in the Cretaceous Period? Right across the street from the Gulfarium is Wild Willy’s Adventure Zone. With a fully animatronic mini golf course, a roller coaster,  4-D theater and an arcade you’ll want to Facebook about, there is never a dull moment at Wild Willy’s. For the thrill seekers, they have a high-intensity rope course towering at 60 feet in the air! If heights aren’t really your thing, head back inside to the Raptors Revenge laser maze for tons of dark adventure. Before heading over, make sure to check out their website for hours and ticket pricing as it may change depending on the season.

HarborWalk Village

Have you ever been on vacation and not known where to start? Look no further than the Harborwalk. Located just 5.9 miles down the road from The Breakers, only an eight-minute drive, there’s an adventure, food, and shopping around every corner. From Margaritaville, AJ’s, and Harry T’s to snorkeling, sunset dolphin tours, and offshore fishing. There is literally something for everyone.

Got little ones in your group? They have “carnival-like” games along the outskirts of the walk way by the food and alcohol trucks. What little kid or big kid doesn’t want to try fried Twinkies or Oreos? They’ve got those too! Craving some of your favorite fair food? Guess what! They have that as well!  It’s a food truck just like the fair except… It’s here ALL YEAR! But wait, it gets better! For those of age, don’t miss out on our town’s famous “wine ice cream” truck. So good you will want to call all of your friends back home immediately and tell them all about it!

No worries ladies, just on the opposite side of the harbor walk there are plenty of shops with your favorite “beachy” attire along with the local’s personal favorite surf brands. Sometimes if you’re lucky you’ll even catch a night with live music! This should be at the top of your bucket list during your vacation to the Sunshine State!

So what are you waiting for? Get ready to take a walk on the wild side of Ft. Walton Beach during your next vacation at The Breakers.
