Where to Go for a Fun Night Out on the Town
For more bang for your buck, you’ll want to begin your night along Miracle Strip Parkway. Home to most of downtown Fort Walton Beach’s restaurants, bars, and clubs, you’ll find that many of the nightlife hotspots in our guide are located in this lively, energetic area of town. Coaster’s, one of the most popular bars in Fort Walton Beach, has bar games, inexpensive drinks, friendly staff, and live music. KC’s Sandbar and Grill brings the beach to the strip with their sand-covered ground that encourages patrons to walk barefoot and chill out while listening to live music and sipping on tropical drinks. Fort Walton Beach nightlife has something for everyone!
Music and Dancing
Nearby on Eglin Parkway is another famous nightclub known as The Block. The Block functions as three nightclubs in one, each with its own appeal. Lovers of country music and dancing will want to visit the Country Block, where you can watch musicians perform live on stage and ride a mechanical bull named “Sugar.” The Sports and Karaoke Block has TVs for watching the game and hosts karaoke five nights a week, in addition to providing amazing drink specials. And the Cell Block functions more like a typical club, with dancing and house music, though The Block as a whole also hosts fun events like wrestling matches and comedy nights.
If you haven’t had enough country music and dancing from The Block, High Tide Oyster Bar on Okaloosa Island is a great place to check out. Helen Back on the Island on Okaloosa is another bar renowned for its live entertainment, bar games, and laid-back atmosphere. And back in Fort Walton Beach, Papa Joe’s Hideaway hosts live music in all genres and final table poker on Thursdays and Saturdays.
No matter where the night takes you, Fort Walton Beach knows how to show visitors a good time, especially if you’re visiting during New Year’s!
