Greek Festival Aug 31 – Sept 2

Held each year during Labor Day weekend from late August through early September, the Greek Festival celebrates Greek culture, cuisine, and more in Fort Walton Beach area. For more information on this fantastic annual event, read on below!

A Cultural Celebration at the Greek Festival in the Fort Walton Beach Area

The Greek Festival is one of our favorite Fort Walton Beach events and takes place at the Emerald Coast Convention Center on Okaloosa Island, located at 1250 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548. The event runs from 4:00pm – 9:00pm on the Friday, August 31st, from 11:00am – 9:00pm on Saturday, September 1st, and from 11:00am – 4:00pm on Sunday, September 2nd.

During the festival, there are a variety of festivities for you and your guests to enjoy together. Greek food and drinks will be served in abundance, including a decadent menu of traditional foods such as souvlaki, spanakopita, gyros, dolmades, pastitsio, baklava, and lamb prepared in all manners, among other foods.

Vendors selling goods and crafts themed around Greek culture are set up within the festival grounds. Additionally, there will also be a Greek general store, bookstore, taverna, and silent auction, with the silent auction held on Saturday afternoon.

The Greek Orthodox Church will also have a church display set up for visitors who are curious about the history and traditions of Greek Orthodox Christianity, which dates back many centuries.

Traditional Greek folk dancing and music with live dancers and musicians will be held throughout the duration of the festival (with most of the performances taking place on Saturday), performed by popular Greek bands in the U.S. such as Kosta Kastanis.

Admission for the Greek Festival costs just $2.00 per person, making it an extremely affordable option for something fun to do during your time in Fort Walton Beach if you happen to visit us during the final weekend of summer. Additionally, parking is free for this event.
