Margaritaville Destin

As you continue your culinary tour of Fort Walton Beach and Destin, you’d be remiss to not include a stop in Margaritaville. Not a town or a state of mind, this local favorite is a restaurant that offers great service, tasty food, and, of course, the best margaritas in town! Open every day of the week from 11 AM until 11 PM, this reasonably priced spot is famous for its friendly vibe and stunning views of the canal. Named after the famous song that you are probably humming as you read this, Margaritaville in Destin has become a Florida staple and has many locations up and down the coast, including the original in Key West—but this one is our favorite, of course!

Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville in Destin –

Located at 76 Harbor Boulevard in Destin

Built in the classic Florida style and constructed of wood painted light, it’s location on the bay and large dining area on the back patio offers the perfect spot to relax and chill over dinner. Live music will have you dancing in your seat, and while the sunset may cause a temporary distraction, once the sky is dark your meal will once again be your main focus. Inside, the décor is spacious and bright, filled with casual tables and floor to ceiling windows that also allow unobstructed views of the water outside. Also offering a store that sells everything an islander needs to survive, picking up a little something from Margaritaville’s store will help keep the islander inside you happy once you return to real life! Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville in Destin is definitely one of the best restaurants in the area.

The Menu

Starting with innovative appetizers such as Asiago Crab and Artichoke Dip, Lava Lava Dip, or our personal favorite, the gigantic and terrifically spicy Volcano Nachos, the feeling that it’s just going to keep getting better grows with each bite. The dinner from the Margaritaville in Destin menu is a compelling blend of local seafood dishes (the catch of the day), Latin inspired meals (Island Cuban Sandwich or Fish Tacos), and of course, a variety of burgers, including the infamous Cheeseburger in Paradise! An extensive kids’ menu features more than the standard chicken tenders and burgers; our youngest feels so grownup when he can order the half rack of ribs off the 12 and under menu! Finish up the meal with a Florida favorite, the Key Lime Pie. No one will blame you for wanting seconds—why not ask for a piece to go?
