Fort Walton Beach 4th of July

Independence Day in the Fort Walton Beach Area

When you think back to your last 4th of July celebration, what memory instantly jumps to the forefront of your mind? Was it the taste of hotdogs enjoyed as you sit on a towel on the beach, watching the sky light up with the colorful explosions of the fireworks that signify the end of another successful Independence Day? Was it the feel of salt water on slightly sunburned skin, the sounds of the waves crashing against sugar white sand beaches, and the sights of palm trees swaying in the ocean breezes? If you answered no to either of these questions, it’s not too late to make sure this Independence Day is all of the above and more! This guide to the Fort Walton Beach 4th of July ensures an absolutely fabulous day to remember!

Most Important Meal of the Day for Fort Walton Beach 4th of July

The best way to start out this All-American holiday is with an All-American Breakfast of pancakes or waffles at Crackings, located at 979 US-98 E in Destin. Don your best patriotic apparel and parade on over for the best breakfast in town; the pancakes are fluffy and light, the lobster gouda grits are creamy and rich, and the waffles will make even the crabbiest of celebrants smile with every bite!
